100 Males to College
100 Males to College
100 Males to College was created in 2015 to increase college access, enrollment, retention, and success for underrepresented, underserved and first-generation youth in the region’s high schools. This program carries a particular emphasis on young men so that their prospects for success in college and career are more attainable. It leverages resources in a community and harnesses collective impact modeling such that public higher education campuses, school districts, community, business partners, and political leadership work together to provide additional targeted supports for this cohort of students. The overall project framework is anchored in strengthening young people through a positive youth development model that embraces culture, identity, community, academic success and career internships; engaging some of our Commonwealth’s most promising yet underserved young men in a personally and educationally transformational journey.
